FAQ

How many resistance levels does it have to choose from?

Honestly....I guess in some ways, it is unlimited. It's not like a "Level 1" and "Level 2" etc etc. It has a knob on the front that turns a screw. And the screw moves the spring closer to and farther away from the knob. If the spring is retracted all the way toward the handle, it is super easy. Approx 4kg of resistance. And if it's all the way toward the knob, it is super tough to squeeze. I can squeeze it all the way. But I've got to bear down and push a fart to get it to close. It's about 40kg of resistance. Just turn the knob until you find a resistance that is tough, but still possible and work it until it becomes easy. Then move it up a little bit. That's about as good as I can explain it.

I have arthritis in my fingers and also trigger finger. Does this hand exerciser also strengthen individual fingers?

Only in the sense of the whole hand, including fingers, getting stronger. It does not exercise fingers individually like some the devices that have a trumpet-like set of keys for each finger.

Wonder if anyone has found a better replacement spring at home depot, lowes, or even graingers?

I have not looked for a replacement spring, and I have not needed one.

It says "kids" on the title. Is this really for kids, or can a grown man use it just fine?

Since this product is adjustable, it is fine for a grown man to use. I have no idea why they would say 'kids' on the title, though perhaps at it lowest adjustment an older child could use it, but using it myself it is definitely fine for an adult.

Does it works well for my forearm?

I don't really feel anything in my forearm when I use it, although I'm sure it has some benefit. It's great however for strengthening grip and the wrist.

I received this adjustable hand gripper and the tension is way too light! anyone else have the same experience?

It is very tight on mine! Not the same experience here.

Is it relatively quiet? I work in a quiet office and this would be nice to use in my leisure however I do not want to annoy people!

The only noise it makes is a small plastic-on-plastic 'clack' when the handles touch.

How does this device hold up over time?Has anyone experienced any loss in the resistance?

I've only on this product for two weeks now but it's pretty solid. As much as you can expect from silicone and plastic if you're looking for super durable product just keep in mind that it's made out of plastic. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and it is great because it has a range of weight.

for grip strength training anywhere. I wish the dial was more precise but you get great value with this product. It’s a good product even if the price were higher.

Spectacular Grip Strengtheners with Adjustable Weights

The Kootek 2 Pack Hand Grip Strengtheners are awesome grip strengtheners with great build quality, easily adjustable weights, and are extremely easy to use.

Starting off with the packaging, I would’ve loved for a more robust product box, instead of the cheaper method they went with of a padded envelope and some plastic packaging. While that didn’t end up being an indication of the quality of the product itself, the packaging adds to the product experience, and can be an indication of how much a company cares about the product experience.

Moving on to the grip strengtheners themselves, they are extremely robust, and feel like they’re built to last. They simply feel good in your hands, and to me they feel like they’re almost worth more than the price. They have a simply knob at the end to adjust the weight from 10 KG to 40 KG (also known as 22 – 88 pounds), which enables anyone with any variety of grip and forearm strength to use them. Here’s where my one complaint about these comes into play. I would’ve loved for the weight scale on the strengtheners to be in pounds, not KG, as I am used to measuring and lifting weights in pounds.

Having said that, these are very good grip strengtheners with impressive build quality and adjustable weights, which really sets these apart from the mediocrity of the hundreds of other grip strengtheners out there.

I was provided a review sample from the manufacturer in order to provide information to assist prospective buyers in making an informed decision, and hopefully help improve the product in future iterations or versions.

If you are trying to build hand and forearm strength back it is a great product. If you already have pretty good hand strength tightening it to its max wasn’t much of a challenge but it still gave a good workout

Good set to work both hands at the same time

This is a nice little hand gripper strengthener set. It comes with 2 strengtheners so you can work both hands at the same time. It has an adjustable dial for added strength exercises, which is a nice feature. It seems to be built well and should last a long time. My kids had no trouble using this product. There are a few different exercises you can do to work different muscles, a handy little guide is included. Overall a good hand strengthener set, built to last.
